Samantha and Glen are two people who get on really well and take great photographs apart and together. We have different personalities and different ways of looking at things but they come together to make beautiful wedding and portrait photography.
When photographing weddings, the most important thing to us is that each couple has a fantastic time on their wedding day. This is the way we see it: it is your job to have the best day of your life and it is our job to create a collection of beautiful wedding photographs.

We do not dominate your wedding day, for much of the day you won't even know we're there. Instead we make sure you are really relaxed and having a great time, that is when we get our best images.
We use an element of fashion within our photography, to provide some stunning signature images. We also like to capture special moments - that impromptu smile or hug, small tear or belly laugh. We like our photographs to have vibrancy, to really bring back your memories from the day.
Most of the time couples do want a few more formal, group photographs, so that we can capture all the people who mean the most. We recommend the time allocated to this part is no more than 15 or 20 minutes. We don't spend ages taking formal photographs, we'd much rather let you have the time of your life and capture the beauty of the day naturally.

We have a range of beautiful albums, using the very best suppliers, including Queensberry of New Zealand. You can choose from a beautiful matted album - this means the prints are displayed on each page with traditional mats, or an artbook album, where the whole page is made using photographic paper.
We like to let the photographs speak for themselves within our albums, rather than being too creative with computerised effects. We use technology to bring out the best image from a photograph but they are still essentially photographs, not computerised images. We use a strong element of design in the way we layout our images, to bring the best from each page. You can see various examples on our album design page.

We always like to meet with people if we can at enquiry stage, but this depends upon your circumstances. We are lucky enough to have a studio in the gorgeous setting of Hexgreave Hall between Newark and Mansfield. We love meeting couples there and couples tell us they love coming (mainly to see the deer!)Please call (01636 673800) or email to make an appointment. Some of our clients are happy to confirm details via phone or email, and then we will meet with them before the day in any event.
A date is secured by payment of a booking fee and completion of a booking form, which we will sign and return a copy for your reference. As you can see, we put a large amount of effort and time into each and every wedding we accept and therefore we can't reserve dates without a booking fee, otherwise we all end up a bit confused as to who has reserved what.
We receive many enquiries for various dates and therefore any specific date is allocated on a first-come-first-served basis. We do our best to respond as quickly as we can to all enquiries and to make ourselves available. We have a no hassle policy and this simply means that we assume if people like what we do then they will make the effort to book us at the earliest opportunity.

... with clients prior to the wedding, a service we feel allows us to get the correct feel for what exactly is required and to get to know each couple better before the big day. The service we provide is more intimate and tailored around your needs. That means you are more relaxed in front of the camera.
